• 24: San Francisco's Annual LGBT Parade:
  Where: San Francisco (starts near Civic Center)
  When: June 24
  Time: 10:30 AM onwards (perhaps couple of hours)
  Cost: FREE
  Annual event - not fully suitable for kids, but some portions are certainly enjoyable by kids in terms of the colorful-ness and variety of dressing - the rest shall be enjoyed by the parents perhaps - the parade starts near the Civic Center (Market & Beale) around 10:30 AM & ends at Market & 8th street - beware of some almost minimally dressed ones!!

• 09 - 17: San Mateo County Fair
  Where: San Mateo County Fair Grounds, 1346 Saratoga Ave. San Mateo, CA 94403

  Time: Noon to 10 PM daily (11AM to 10 PM on Weekends)
  All Stage Shows: Doors open 6:30 PM and shows start 7:30 PM
  Cost: Adults ($6) / Children 6 - 12 ($4)/ Seniors 62 & over ($4)/ 5 & under(FREE)/ Carnival ($21)
  On June 11 - Kids 12 & under are FREE.

  Plus PG&E solar energy projects for kids.

  Every FIRST TUEsday of every month, kids between 6 - 12 yrs. age, can build and take home a Lego mini-model (announced monthly) - while supplies last (so be there early).
  This month, kids make a Lawn Mower.
  (I heard the lines start an hour before or so - really?? for a small 10 piece model?)
